They fight for glory,
Upon fields of mud,
And inside arenas that are gory,
Built for battle they fight,
Until their last breath,
As the crowd savors,
The pungent aroma of death,
If you think that is cruel,
Then the cruel world,
Itself is to be blamed,
But I have one question,
Are you not entertained?

Maybe it was never meant to be? Maybe I just imagined it? Maybe I am only lying to myself? Maybe I'm just pretending to be in love? Maybe it was never real...? But then you smile, then you laugh. What It Is To Die

The sudden blue of the water enveloped me as my horrified fingers slipped under the surface. An iron grip held my shoulders tight, softly holding me in my space. Like blankets, the water wrapped tightly, coldly shocking my body into warmth- a gentle glow upon the skin. Tearing open my eyes, I saw a long far away world of blue, stretching away from me, taunting me. Oblivious to my struggle, to my panic, I see legs and arms and excitement over some concept lost to me. Water had no time nor patience for my panic, and insisted wholly upon the hands on my shoulders and liquid glass now pervading my lungs. The water seemed to hold me under it&rsquo

Imagine a world where there is no sorrow Or sadness, or pain, or dismay True, in this world there'd be no happiness But that's a small price to pay. Did you ever fit in? You tried to. No one could say you didn't try but you possessed something the others didn't have. A conscience worth listening to, intelligence and empathy, a knowing that came from deep within. Actually that's the reason you seemed older than all the rest. Those childish and silly, always willing to do stupid things, they would say you're missing out on life but then what sort of life do they have, with their false friends, who tend to vanish into thin air if really needed. The storm that raged outside brought droplets of water that dashed against the glass of an apartment window like liquid bullets. I’ve never turned down a job. Professional integrity, and all that. But even so, when I saw the name in the file, I cringed. At some point in every man’s career, he gets that job he knows is going to make or break his name. I’d been using this name for a while now, and it had started to get a decent rep behind it.
