Literature Text

Why must the demons
approach me in the night?
Coming to my bed
in the absence of light?
Why must the faces on the walls
appear in the night?
Screaming in the darkness
much to my fright?
I wonder from my misery
do they gain delight?
Why must the pale crone
watch me every night?
If I touched her black hound
would it bite?
Am forever to be at the mercy
Of the demons who come in the night?
As the day falls into darkness
and I lose my sight
these voices in my head begin arguing at the eve of night.
Please blessed saints liberate me from this plight
Stop the demons from coming tonight…..

This reminds me of me...in reality and in my dreams, or should I say, nightmares. I know some people have creeped me out in reality, and they sometimes haunt me in my nightmares, apparently trying to do scary stuff to me. So this poem basically put a picture into my head and I can totally feel this poem.
